Virtual Card Swap

Hello
I just finished this card and really love how it turned out. This was my first Virtual Card swap, the note card i got only had the green gingham and yellow polka dot background. I added the stamped saying and the flower. The flower was a sizzix die that i chalked and put together.
The way a virtual card swap works, is the hostess will send the participants each a blank note card that they will need to add to in some way, then the participants will post a picture of their end result for everyone to see. It is fun to see what everyone else came up with.

Eeeeek!

Hello

So, I finally used my Martha Stewart Halloween clearance stuff i just had to have last year! lol I got the Halloween sayings stamp set and the bat punch. I don't make that many Halloween cards, but I thought I should change that. I gave the bats eyes with my SU white pen. I got the idea for the card in the recent card maker magazine. Enjoy!

A Little Brag Book

Hellllloooo!

That word always makes me think of Seinfeld, lol I was not an avid watcher of the show, but you tend to pick things up here and there. I made this little book for my Summer Secret Sister, it is to go in with a bunch of other goodies in my final gift to her. I also included a package of badge holders, so she could make one of her own. I made it with open spots so she could add pictures in it. I got the idea from a tutorial on SCS. I really like the way it turned out, but i always have a hard time photographing shinny things. Hope you like it.

PS- The pictures of the inside of the book are turned on their side, even though i took them the right way, i couldn't get them to rotate, so you will have to cock your head to read the quotes! =)

Woof!

I just love this stamp, it looks just like my Lily baby. She has a very coy smile, makes you wonder what shes been up to. It is from Whipper Snapper, it's called smiling lab. I stamped her on watercolor paper and colored her in with watercolor pencils and a blender pen.

Whoo Hoo?

Let me start by saying i pretty much stamp in the moment, i was at the kitchen island (my stamp room lol) i asked madi (who was buried in a book on the couch) "what does an owl say?" she replied "who who but with an extra o on the end." Sounds logical right? And No, it didn't occur to either of us to go and investigate if it was right or not. LOL So, story being told I made this cute little owl ATC for a swap. I just love this owl stamp from sideshow stamps, he makes me think of Macrame. I used a technique that is new for me, i rubbed lemon juice on the ivory card stock then heated it with my heat gun, until it had an aged look to it. Then i stamped the owl and colored him in with chalks and a blending pen. I added some copper stickles to the flowers on his tummy. Since he is the first one i made the next 8 for the swap will probably be Hoo, Hoo! LOL

"Yummy Pasta"

So here i am posting on my 3rd day! Let me start by saying "I love recipe swaps" and i joined a big one, an A-Z recipe swap hosted by my friend Heidi. We had to make 26 recipe cards of the letter we picked, so the end result will be an alphabet recipe book. I made a pretty simple one so i wasn't crazy when i was finished. I had been wanting to use my hubby's recipe for pasta and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. Y is for "yummy pasta". -Jen

"Just a cute chick"

Happy Tuesday

I made this card for a dear friend, from one chick to another. LOL Her favorite colors are bright shades of blue and Yellow. I also made her a special pillowcase, with bright yellow and blue flowers. I hope she likes it.
