Wow it's been awhile!

It's been awhile since I've posted here. I have rejoined the working world and it sure cuts into my craft time! =) I did have a chance this weekend to make a few Halloween things using product from the new holiday catalog from AMUSE.

I found this wonderful Colour Challenge Blog and decided to play along this week! I used my new Die-namic Jumbo Ric-Rac Die from MFT! I love it! My card is pretty simple, ut the color combo is really rich so simple was probably best!

Teacher Appreciation Day!

My calendar actually says Teacher Appreciation Week! These are the cards I made for my teacher friends at work, I used a few of my new toys, like the paper edge punch and my new sentiment stamps from Amy R designs! Love them! Don't forget to thank a teacher this week!

Hello Kitty!

I picked up this adorable sizzix die at the Vegas Expo show a few weekends ago, and finally used it. I actually remembered to take a picture before I gave the card away! ha ha It's not a great picture because it was late last night and it had to go in the mail early this morning! I really like how it turned out and I know the recipient will love it, because she is a cat lover. =) The expo was good, it has shrank down alot, over the past few years, which seams surprising for Vegas being so big. Really the best part of my trip was hanging out with my friends! I got a few more goodies, nothing to big but I found a few things that I really needed! ha ha

Long time no post...

Hello!
I'm still here! I actually do visit my Blog almost everyday to keep up with the blogs I follow. I just haven't had the time to post on my own blog. I have been making a few things here and there, and then giving them to people and then of course realizing later I did not take a picture! D'oh!
I did however save one of the Valentines that I handed out to co-workers last Monday. I have always liked this stamp set from Stampin up. The little funny sayings paired with cute animals, make me think of the Valentines from when I was little. Back then candy wasn't really involved in how you picked your box of Valentines to give out. I can remember carefully choosing the right one for each classmate and then with my best handwriting signing my name on the back. I hope you had a good Valentine's Day, mine was work filled and quiet.

I'm rejoining the Blog world!

Well I'm going to try and rejoin the blog world. My world has been a little upside down since February. We have moved from Nevada to California, which is a good thing family wise and I have started back to work which has cut seriously into my craft time. I have a few cards I made awhile back that I wanted to share and hopefully I will feel inspired to make some more this afternoon.

The first card I cased from a magazine. I used 3 different embossing folders and coredinations card stock, which has the coolest effect. I got the idea for the second card from a magazine too, but changed it to work for what I had. The inside reads "write soon". I'm hoping to start posting regularly again here on my blog, mostly because I enjoy sharing the things I create.

A few cards to share!

I've been wanting to post these cards for awhile and with the packing and purging going on in this house, I just haven't had time to do it! Both of these cards I made for the card clubs I belong to. They are both fairly simple but cute, the bird is a new punch from Stampin up, and the Kitty on the second card is a stamp from The Greeting Farm.
I am in the middle of moving, so my next post will more then likely be from where I end up!

Using Scraps!

I made these cards entirely from scraps of paper. I cut the vines with the Vine sizzix die, and punched the flowers with the Stampin Up punch Boho Blossoms. I used tiny Bronze brads for the flower centers. The stamps are an older Stampin up set. Unfortunately , the cards did not use enough scraps because I still have a giant box of paper scraps left!

Birds in a row

I have wanted some clear inchie stamps for a while now, and I finally picked out a bird set! For this card, I lined them up on a clear block and stamped them with burnt umber ink, the PP is from K&Co, then I stamped the envelope to match.

I tried out my new copics when I colored this Bella. I didn't try shading, because the image seamed to small, but I will get braver. I still need a lot of practice, and you know what they say "practice makes perfect!"

Ewe are the best & Get whale soon!

I have had this stamp set forever and finally used it! I made a set of these get well cards, with the whale, for my card club. Then i made a set of Thank you cards with the ewe, for my sister as a present! I really liked the way they turned out. I think any simple stamp would work for the ewe card layout.

Happy Fathers Day!

I made this card for my wonderful Hubby Andy for Fathers Day. He loves the beach and everything about it, so this card is perfect for him. I also made him a set of note cards using the same woody surfboard image, but simpler so it would be easy to mail and a little more manly!

Hello! I had card club at my house last night, which is always fun and I wanted to share one of the cards I had them make. I made this card two different ways, mostly because I couldn't decide which way I liked it! My friend Tiff said the card with the hill reminded her of the Teletubbies show! Ha Ha

Cased Card

Hello, I wanted to share a card with you that I cased from a good friend. The top card is my Version and the second card is the one I got from my friend Kathie. I just love this card, simple yet perfect. The stamps are from "the stamps of life.com." My paper is from DCWV Flower Shower Spring Mat Stack.

Masculine Card

I made this card so it could be a Fathers Day card or a Masculine Happy Birthday card. I got the sketch from the "Go to Sketches" Magazine. I stamped the ties in Burnt Umber ink and then stamped them again and cut the polka dot tie out and popped it up on the first stamped image. I used my Mosaic CB folder on the lighter brown paper to give it a leather look. Added a few copper brads, then inked up everything!

Candle Bithday Card

I have to admit, this card was floating around in my head for a quite awhile. I got the idea from my friend Ant-me, she had used some real candles on a card candy that I received from her in a swap and I just loved the idea! So, I finally just sat down and made a bunch of them! I used regular white candles and lightly rubbed stickles on them for sparkle. I picked my colored paper to match the ribbon that I got forever ago. The card itself I cut with my circle spellbinders so that it is a circle shaped card. The green paper I ran through my cuttlebug with Swiss dots EF then lightly rubbed it with sandpaper. Then I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside.
