Artful INKables Blog Hop - Retro Style

Hi!
Welcome to the Artful INkables Retro Blog Hop. If you arrived here from the Artful INKables main Blog then your in the right place! Today I want to share a card and sachet pillow I made using an Artful INKables stamp set from last season called "Paper Snowflakes." I cut out the sachet pillow using my scallop square nestibilities, then I sewed a few beads on it for some added texture. On my card I used the rock and roll technique using blue and purple colored inks, then I added a little sparkle with my glitter pen.

I hope you enjoy the Retro Blog Hop and make sure you visit all the blogs on the hop and leave comments for a chance to win an Artful INKables stamp set. Your next stop on the hop is Jackie.
Happy Stamping!

Halloween Banner

Hello!
I recently hosted a Banner swap over at ISC. I love hosting swaps and participating in them. I have been in more than I can count and have made a lot of great friends along the way. This swap was for everyone to pick a letter from "Happy Halloween" and make 14 of that letter. As for this year I put mine on my entry wall with some double stick tape, but when I take it down to save for next year I think I will laminate it and then string it on some ribbon. Didn't it turn out great? I hope everyone who participated will love it as much as I love mine.
Have a great weekend!

Cardinal Bird

Hi!
I hope you are enjoying good weather in your part of the world, here in Vegas it still feels like summer! I'm so ready for a weather change. Today I wanted to share a card I made using the stamp set "Bird Song" from Artful INKables. This set has one of my favorite Maya Angelou quotes "A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song."
You can find this bird stamp set ---> HERE

Just Chicken in on ya!

Hey y'all! This cute little card was made using "Down on the Farm" which is one of the new stamp sets from Artful INKables. I love this set! So many cute images with sayings that match.
If you haven't checked out the new sets over at AI head on over --> Here

For this card I used the chicken and fence stamp, and colored them in with my watercolor pencils and my blender pen. I put a pop dot under the chicken to give him that 3-D effect and with some twine and the Friday sketch from "Amy R's Friday sketch"---> Here
Yeehaw! A cute little card if I do say so myself.

Halloween Tic-Tac Holder

Today I wanted to share something with you that I made to send to my daughter for Halloween. She is away at College, and even though she is older and doesn't trick or treat anymore, I know she will still enjoy a little Halloween treat.
I used the Artful INKables set "Halloween Hauntings" for this project. I used my glitter pen on the ghost and added some gems to the corner to give it some sparkle. You could also use this idea for Sweethearts candy boxes for Valentines Day.
Just a reminder you only have till midnight on Monday the 12th to get your challenge entry in over at the Artful INKables Blog for a chance to win some stamps. The challenge is to use something that sparkles. Remember if you use AI stamps you get to put your name in twice. The next Challenge will start on Tuesday October 13th, and I am going to be the host! Cool eh?

Thankful Owls

Hello!
Aren't these owls just the cutest? They are from Stamping Bella! I made this card for the 5 a month card swap, I am in over at Inspire Swap Chat. This months theme was "Thankful", since I don't really do alot of Thanksgiving cards and, I really wanted to use these little owls so I made them Thankful Owls!

I stamped them twice and then cut one set out individually and popped them up with pop dots. I used watercolor pencils, and sponged all the edges with brown ink. The layout I used was just something that had been floating around in my head. I really like the way it all came together, hopefully everyone in the swap will too!

Show me some sparkle!

It's time for another Think Ink Challenge! This time the challenge is to use something that sparkles, Stickles, Gems, Shimmerz, etc. I made my card with the candycane Beaver stamp from the new holiday set "Treats and Tails" from Artful INKables. I used little rhinestones all around my scallop rectangle and then also put some in a pattern of a swirly by the sentiment, and I used a glitter pen for the candycane.
